I was a camp counselor and a canoe guide for many summers. My two favorite activities to teach the campers were archery and canoeing – both of which needed your gut and inner core engaged for balance, your head to know what or where you were aiming, and your heart to give you a reason to care to even do it in the first place.
Personal growth is a lot like archery; the three steps are Ready, Aim & Fire.
Ready means you are getting yourself ready – finding the necessary stance or advisor to help you.
Set means that you are finding the best body position and mindset to hit the target.
Fire means that you must trust yourself and your capabilities – and actually let go to hit a bullseye.
